Sensitive Dwelling Alterations Approved by Council

Laurence Associates is pleased to announce the successful approval of a planning application for significant alterations to a traditional dwelling.

The existing property held strong traditional character, with materials such as slate and stone contributing to its identity and relationship with the surrounding setting. From the outset, the design approach focused on respecting these established qualities while introducing carefully considered contemporary features to enhance the home.

Achieving the right balance between traditional and modern design was central to the success of the proposal. The alterations were developed to complement the existing dwelling, ensuring the new elements sat comfortably alongside the original structure while improving the overall functionality and appearance of the property.

Through the collaboration of our highly skilled Architects and in house planning team, a sensitive and well considered design solution was achieved. This thoughtful approach was recognised by the Council, resulting in planning consent being granted.

The project highlights Laurence Associates’ commitment to delivering high quality architectural design that responds carefully to both context and client aspirations.

If you are considering alterations, extensions or improvements to your property, contact Laurence Associates to discuss how our team can help bring your vision to life while navigating the planning process with confidence.
