Laurence Associates have recently been successful in gaining a certificate of lawfulness for a residential caravan.

The application was for a site which already had a certificate of lawfulness for the siting of a caravan for residential purposes. However, the caravan was moved to a different location, with this being for a period of 6 years.

We out forward a robust case, on the basis that the site had not been abandoned, and the certificate site remained within the same use, with no intervening use.

As part of our submission, we referred to relevant case law and appeals which supported our case, together with a signed and witnessed statutory declaration to ensure that a clear and robust case was made.

The outcome was a positive decision, showing our ability to form robust planning arguments on difficult cases to gain success for our clients.
