Ana Coelho promoted to Senior Chartered Architect

Laurence Associates is proud to announce the promotion of Ana Coelho to Senior Chartered Architect, recognising her outstanding contribution to the practice and the significant role she plays within our team.

Since joining Laurence Associates in 2022, Ana has become a highly valued and trusted member of the practice.

Reflecting on her progression, Ana says:
“This promotion reflects a period of significant growth for me within the practice, taking on increased responsibility across projects and developing my role both technically and strategically.”

Over the past few years, Ana has worked on a wide range of projects, she has consistently contributed to design quality, strong client relationships and a collaborative working culture within the team.

Ana qualified as an Architect in 2010 from the University of Coimbra in Portugal. During her master’s studies, she completed an Erasmus programme at NTNU Trondheim in Norway, as well as a free mover programme at RWTH Aachen in Germany, further broadening her international outlook. She also undertook a postgraduate degree in São Paulo, Brazil.

Ana brings a truly global perspective to her work, having practiced in five different countries: Portugal, Brazil, Germany, the UAE and Taiwan. This experience has given her exposure to a wide range of building typologies, including residential, mixed-use, stadiums and office developments, and informs her thoughtful and adaptable approach to design.

She is an ARB-registered architect and RIBA Chartered Member, and her work is underpinned by strong principles of sustainability, inclusive design, and the circular economy. Ana holds a LEED AP BD+C credential and an Ellen MacArthur Foundation Certificate for the programme “From Linear to Circular”, reflecting her commitment to responsible and future-focused architecture.

“I’m truly grateful to be working in a role that allows me to pursue my passion for architecture while building strong relationships with clients’ working together to turn aspirations into well-considered homes.

I’m excited to continue building on this role and contributing to the practice as we move forward into the next stage”.

Ana’s promotion recognises not only her technical expertise and international experience, but also the care, creativity and collaborative spirit she brings to the practice. We congratulate Ana on her well-deserved promotion and look forward to her continued leadership and contribution at Laurence Associates.
