East Allington Permission in Principle success for five new homes

Laurence Associates has been successful in gaining planning consent in East Allington for a Permission in Principle application for 5 dwellings.

The consent has been achieved through careful assessment of local plan policies to ensure the development was of a suitable scale to trigger additional policy support. Indeed, our success follows a previous application and appeal that were refused and dismissed before our intervention. The decision therefore shows the value of planning consultants and our expertise and local knowledge at Laurence Associates.

Within the submission we stressed the sustainability of the location on the edge of the settlement East Allington. This, together with our application of the ’tilted balance’ and emphasis of the benefit of the provision of new dwellings at the time of a national and local housing crisis led to a robust and convincing justification which gained support from the council.

The success is one of an increasing number across Devon following the opening of our Exeter office at the start of the year. We have a number of exciting projects being progressed so watch this space for additional updates, with more successful outcomes to follow.
