A Tailored Approach to Conceptual Design

At Laurence Associates, we recognise that every client, site and project is unique. That is why we take a fully bespoke approach to the design process, ensuring that every scheme is carefully shaped around individual requirements, aspirations and context.

A Collaborative Design Process

We are passionate about architecture and believe that the best outcomes are achieved through collaboration. From the outset, our team works closely with clients to understand their vision, guiding them through each stage of the design journey with clarity and expertise.

From Brief to Concept

Once the design brief has been established, our architects and designers begin developing detailed concept proposals. These are informed by a thorough understanding of the site, alongside careful analysis of planning, environmental and physical constraints.

Our concepts are communicated through a range of formats, including hand drawn sketches, two and three dimensional CAD drawings, computer generated imagery and photographic montages. Each stage is designed to clearly convey the evolving vision while remaining firmly aligned with the client’s objectives.

A Multi Layered Design Approach

Our work is shaped by a number of key design principles that inform the direction of each project. These include functional, material, contextual, conceptual, formal, collaborative and philosophical considerations.

These approaches are not applied in isolation but are carefully integrated throughout the design process to create cohesive, thoughtful and well resolved architecture.

Designed for Living and Experience

Our focus remains on delivering buildings that are not only visually striking, but also practical, enduring and a pleasure to occupy. By combining creativity with technical expertise, we create spaces that respond to both their users and their surroundings.
