Planning Consent Secured for Outdoor Kitchen at a Holiday Park in Cornwall

Laurence Associates has recently secured planning consent for a new outdoor kitchen at a holiday park on Cornwall’s north coast, within the Cornwall National Landscape.

The proposed development will enhance the facilities available to holidaymakers, providing takeaway food options for guests staying on the site while supporting the future growth and development of the business.

Sensitive Design Within Cornwall’s National Landscape

Located centrally within the holiday park, the outdoor kitchen is well positioned in relation to both the static holiday accommodation and touring pitches, making it accessible to a broad range of visitors.

Given the site’s sensitive landscape setting, careful consideration was given to the design approach and proposed materials. The scheme demonstrates how appropriately designed development can respond to its surroundings while respecting the character and qualities of a protected landscape.

By taking account of the wider site context and adopting a considered approach to materials, Laurence Associates demonstrated that the proposal could be accommodated within the Cornwall National Landscape.

Supporting Tourism and Local Employment

Beyond improving the visitor experience, the outdoor kitchen is intended to support the ongoing success of the holiday park. By expanding the range of facilities available to guests, the development will help strengthen the site’s tourism offer and contribute to the future development of the business.

The proposal also brings potential economic benefits, including additional employment opportunities, supporting the local economy and the wider tourism sector.

Planning and Building Control Support

Laurence Associates has been retained to provide building control services, continuing our involvement beyond the planning stage.

Our multidisciplinary expertise enables us to support clients throughout the development process, helping to progress projects from planning consent towards delivery.

This project reflects our commitment to thoughtful planning, context led design and practical solutions that balance our clients’ business objectives with the environmental and landscape considerations of each site.

For advice on planning permission, sensitive site development or building control services in Cornwall and the Southwest, contact Laurence Associates to discuss your project.
