Liz Alexander - Planning Director & Chartered Town Planner Status

Liz Alexander, a Chartered Town Planner, has recently joined the Practice as Planning Director.

With expertise across all areas of planning, Liz has successfully managed residential and commercial developments at every stage, from planning promotions and applications to delivery and implementation. She is excited to lead projects at Laurence Associates and bring her strategic insight to the team.

In her previous role as Head of Planning for a major housebuilding company, Liz guided schemes from inception to completion, assessing site potential and overseeing developments through to delivery.

She also specialises in renewable energy applications, with a particular focus on solar and battery storage proposals.

Liz’s experience spans a wide range of application sizes and types in both rural and urban areas. She is known for her strong client focus, providing clear, strategic advice to help clients achieve their goals efficiently.

Liz said, “It’s fantastic to have joined Laurence Associates at a time of positive change for the planning system. I’m excited to be working in a design-led practice, which combines architecture, planning and landscape to offer our clients a fully integrated approach to development. I’m really looking forward to leading the planning team at Laurence Associates and to using my extensive planning skills and knowledge to deliver a diverse range of projects of all scales and types for our clients with a personalised service from start to finish”.

Richard Marsden said, “Liz is a very welcome addition to the team at Laurence Associates. She brings with her a wealth of experience across all development sectors, but particularly in relation to housing and renewable energy, which are areas in which we have a significant number of projects. Her expertise will allow us to improve our offer to clients old and new, and we look forward in anticipation to seeing her drive the Planning Team forward to bigger and better things”.
