Laurence Associates is Hiring: Town Planners in Cornwall

Laurence Associates is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for two Town Planners to join our dynamic and growing team in Truro.

As a leading multidisciplinary consultancy, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality planning, architecture, and landscape architecture services across the Southwest and beyond. Our planners work on a diverse range of projects – from complex planning applications to strategic development proposals -and play a key role in shaping sustainable, high-quality outcomes for our clients and communities.

About the Role: We are looking for two proactive, enthusiastic and client-focused individuals with the confidence and experience to manage a varied workload. The ideal candidates will demonstrate sound planning knowledge, an ability to assess and deliver planning applications of various scales, and a commitment to professional excellence.

Key requirements:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a planning role
  • A planning degree or equivalent qualification (desirable)
  • RTPI membership is desirable, though not essential – we will support successful candidates working towards chartered status
  • Strong communication, organisation and report writing skills
  • A collaborative and professional approach to working with clients and colleagues

 

What We Offer: We value our team and offer a competitive package that supports both personal and professional development:

  • Salary range: £30,000 – £50,000 depending on experience and qualifications
  • 23/26* days holiday plus statutory bank holidays (*Associate level)
  • Long service extra day holiday (5 years)
  • 37.5 hours per week (full time)
