New premises & 30 Years in the business

This year marks a major milestone for the team at Laurence Associates as we celebrate 30 years in business.

The growing firm has marked this key anniversary with a move to larger premises in Truro, now occupying Helford House in Threemilestone Business Park.

Originally operating solely as a planning consultancy for the first 11 years, today, it’s an award-winning chartered planning practice which attracts commissions from across the country.

Managing Director Richard Marsden said, “As a planning-led architectural practice we have a unique offering as our architectural team is able to design buildings from a planning perspective, significantly improving clients’ prospects of planning success.  We can identify sites with limited planning merit and advise clients from the outset on their prospects of success, offering a comprehensive approach to projects from concept to completion.

We continue to evolve as a business, and over the next few years will continue to bring more expertise in-house, complementing the services we offer and saving our clients from having to rely on external consultants.

In addition to our architectural work, we have continued working with national and multi-national companies on renewable energy projects and are seeing a steady increase in the number of projects flowing from this sector.

Our landscape architects support both our architectural and renewable energy schemes, also providing bespoke landscape design services from domestic gardens through to large scale developments.

We have not forgotten our roots and still provide bespoke expert planning consultancy advice across all elements of the planning regime, including advising on enforcement cases, Certificates of Lawfulness, and Local and Neighbourhood Plan representations.

Our 30th anniversary is a proud moment for all of us; an occasion for us to reflect on our achievements as well as looking at our ambitions for the future.”
