This ambitious project, undertaken in collaboration with Cornwall Council through a Planning Performance Agreement (PPA), has been carefully designed to enhance the hotel’s historic character while elevating its facilities to meet modern hospitality standards.

The key architectural feature of the redevelopment is a stunning cantilevered restaurant and event space, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Falmouth Harbour, Pendennis Headland, and Flushing through its fully glazed elevation.

  • A New Waterfront Restaurant & Events Space – Relocating the existing conference and events suite to a purpose-built facility with uninterrupted harbour views.
  • 30 Additional Hotel Bedrooms – Transforming underused areas to accommodate increased guest capacity.
  • Removal of Under croft Parking – Making space for new guest rooms and administrative offices.
  • Redesigned Waterfront Elevation – Incorporating new window openings for a more cohesive and visually appealing architectural aesthetic.
  • Front Extension for Functional Improvements – Providing space for a relocated kitchen and an internal fire escape stairwell.
  • Enhanced Accessibility – Including level access to reception and dedicated accessible parking spaces.
  • Additional Parking Along North Parade – To support the hotels growing guest numbers.
