Plume of Feathers

St Austell Brewery commissioned us to redesign the entire first floor of the 17th Century Plume of Feathers at Portscatho on Cornwall’s Roseland Peninsula.

We were tasked with developing plans for five en suite letting rooms; a challenging remit given the limited space and constraints of working within a much-loved, historic building.

We worked closely with structural and acoustic engineers to bring together all the elements of the scheme in a way which would fit the brief, maintain the pub’s character, and satisfy building control legislation.

We prepared the design drawings for building control and the construction phase, attended pre-construction project meetings, and oversaw the build, liaising closely with the main contractor for the duration.
