Four Dwellings Approved Following Outline Consent

Planning deadlines can create significant pressure for landowners and developers. When outline consent is approaching its expiry date, a carefully managed and well-prepared submission is essential.

For this project, Laurence Associates was appointed to deliver the detailed design for four dwellings following an existing outline approval. With the outline consent nearing its deadline, our team acted quickly to prepare and submit a robust application that protected the principles already agreed by the local authority.

The design followed the previously approved layout while carefully responding to the sensitive character of the surrounding village. Our approach created four homes with a shared architectural language but subtle variations in form and detail, giving each dwelling its own identity while maintaining a strong sense of cohesion.

Drawing inspiration from traditional Cornish vernacular architecture, the homes reflect the established character of the area through familiar forms, proportions and materials.

The result was a positive planning decision with no objections or concerns raised during the consultation process.

This project demonstrates how early planning strategy, sensitive design and efficient project management can help clients move from outline consent to full approval smoothly and confidently.

If you have land with outline planning consent and need support progressing to full approval, the right architectural and planning strategy can make all the difference.

Whether you are approaching a planning deadline or looking to unlock the potential of your site, our team can guide you through the next stage with confidence.
