Elmhurst Energy CPD

Keeping Ahead of the Future Homes Standard.

Laurence Associates energy assessors have recently completed a CPD session with Elmhurst Energy focusing on the latest developments in the Future Homes Standard, the Home Energy Model, and SAP 10.3.

These upcoming changes, expected to come into force by the end of 2026 or early 2027, will replace SAP 10.2 and significantly influence how new homes are designed and assessed. Key themes include a move away from fossil fuel-based systems, increased adoption of heat pumps, and the likely introduction of PV panel requirements.

Although these changes may result in higher initial build costs, the long-term objective is to reduce energy consumption and monthly running costs for homeowners.

Staying informed allows us to support our clients with compliant, future-ready, and energy-efficient designs.

If you’d like to discuss how the Future Homes Standard and SAP 10.3 may affect your project, get in touch. We offer free consultations to help you maximise your site’s potential.
