The Point

Our design for The Point, in north Cornwall, is a fusion of modern luxury and sustainability, complementing the surrounding landscape and enjoying far reaching coastal views towards Polzeath.

We were commissioned to design seven bespoke two and three-bedroom contemporary holiday apartments, creating a luxury destination for environmentally-conscious travelers.

The curved, undulating building snakes along the hill ridge, providing reverse living accommodation across two floors. The inset balconies maximise the views across to Pentire Point without compromising privacy.

The building was finished with high quality natural materials including Kebony cladding and soffits, and locally-sourced stone. Ground source heat pumps have been installed, supplying hot water and underfloor heating throughout. The sedum flat roof, with its profiled curved zinc fascia, is a dramatic design feature which helps anchor the development in its spectacular surroundings.
