Smallridge Bros Truro Depot
Laurence Associates is proud to have supported Smallridge Bros in the successful completion of their new agricultural machinery depot in Truro. This purpose-built facility enhances operational efficiency, provides additional capacity for future growth, and ensures improved accessibility for customers and staff alike.
Smallridge Bros is a well-established, family-run business and one of the leading John Deere agricultural and turf equipment dealers in the Southwest. With a strong reputation for providing high-quality machinery, servicing, and support, the company has been serving farmers, contractors, and landowners for over 40 years. As demand for their services continues to grow, expanding their existing depot network was a key priority to enhance their ability to serve the region.
Laurence Associates worked in close collaboration with Smallridge Bros from the earliest stages of the project, ensuring that every aspect of the development was carefully considered to meet their operational needs and long-term objectives.
The project began with an extensive site search to identify a suitable location that provided easy access to key transport links while accommodating the company’s future growth. The chosen site, in close proximity to the A30, offered an ideal setting for the expansion, balancing logistical convenience with sustainability considerations.
Our planning team successfully secured permission for the development, working proactively to navigate the complexities of the planning process while ensuring the design met all regulatory requirements. The architectural and landscape design elements were carefully developed in consultation with Smallridge Bros to create a modern, functional, and visually cohesive facility that integrates seamlessly into its surroundings.
The new depot includes a spacious workshop, showroom, offices, and external storage areas, all designed to support the company’s day-to-day operations while providing an enhanced experience for customers and staff. The landscaping scheme complements the built environment, ensuring a well-balanced and professional appearance that aligns with the company’s brand and values.
This project reflects our commitment to working closely with our clients to deliver tailored planning, architectural, and landscape design solutions that support their business goals. By understanding Smallridge Bros operational needs and future aspirations, we have helped create a facility that will serve as a key asset for the company as it continues to grow and evolve.
We are delighted to see the successful completion of the new Truro depot and look forward to seeing Smallridge Bros thrive in their new space.
