Ocean View Barn

Situated on the outskirts of Praa Sands, we were appointed to manage the planning and conversion of a large block-built barn into a modern residential dwelling for our clients. This project also includes the construction of several additional structures on-site, such as a temporary annex, a detached garage, and a separate agricultural building.

After successfully securing planning permission back in Feburary 2023, we advanced into the design and specification phase, collaborating closely with structural engineers from Form Consulting. Our primary focus was to develop detailed construction drawings and ensure full compliance with building regulations, which laid the groundwork for contractor tendering and guided the overall construction process.

We assisted the client in selecting the ideal contractor through a comprehensive tender process, and after the selection, we established formal contracts. As contract administrators, we actively oversee the project by attending regular site meetings, ensuring that everything runs smoothly, stays on schedule, and remains within budget.

Currently, the project has reached the wind and watertight stage, with first-fix plumbing and electrical installations underway. We are on track to complete the build by the end of the year.
