Cedar Cottage
This project transformed a modest cedar shingle cottage in the heart of the small village of Port Navas on the River Helford in Cornwall.
We designed two extensions to the original cottage, one on the side to house an ensuite shower room and a large family bathroom, and the other at the front, creating a largely glazed feature entrance and second reception room with views across the landscaped gardens.
A large double garage and workshop has also been added to provide a home for our clients’ much-loved classic car collection. The use of natural cedar wood shingles on the roof and walls complements the timber frame building and its leafy surroundings.
