Tom Evans Promoted to Junior Planner

Laurence Associates is delighted to announce the promotion of Tom Evans to Junior Planner, recognising his dedication, professional growth and the valuable contribution he makes to the practice.

Tom joined Laurence Associates as a Graduate Planner and, over the past year, has embraced the opportunities and challenges that have supported his development within the planning team.

Reflecting on his progression, Tom says:

“Over the past year, I have been positively challenged in ways that have fostered my professional growth, taking on diverse projects that have provided invaluable experience.”

From the outset, Tom was encouraged to take ownership of his workload, supported by open dialogue with directors and senior colleagues. This collaborative environment has enabled him to strengthen his understanding of the planning system and planning policy while gaining practical experience across a wide range of projects.

“From the outset, as a graduate planner, I was encouraged to manage my own workload, with open discussions with directors and senior colleagues who have supported my progression.”

During his time at Laurence Associates, Tom has worked on a diverse portfolio of projects, including lawful development certificates, prior approvals and appeals. Through these experiences, he has developed confidence in navigating complex planning proposals and found particular motivation in projects that present a meaningful challenge.

Looking ahead, Tom is focused on continuing to grow within his role and furthering his professional qualifications.

“I look forward to continuing to take on greater responsibility in my new role. I am enthusiastic to work towards completing my RTPI chartership as I start my second year of experience on the licentiate route.”

Tom’s promotion reflects not only his growing technical knowledge and commitment to professional development, but also his positive attitude and collaborative approach within the practice. We are proud to support him as he progresses towards RTPI chartership and look forward to his continued contribution to Laurence Associates.

Congratulations, Tom, on a well-deserved promotion.
