A positive appeal decision for Laurence Associates

We’re pleased to confirm that planning permission has been granted following a successful appeal for a rural exception site delivering up to nine dwellings, supporting much-needed housing at a critical time.

Set within a World Heritage Site, the proposal was informed by detailed heritage and planning work. The Inspector concluded that the public benefits of delivering affordable housing outweighed any less than substantial harm to the World Heritage Site, a significant and carefully balanced decision.

This outcome demonstrates how well-evidenced planning strategies can unlock opportunities, even in highly sensitive locations.

We’ll be sharing more insights from this appeal decision soon.

If you’re exploring a rural exception site, planning appeal or development in a constrained setting, our experienced team is here to help guide you through every stage.
