We were instructed to submit an application for planning permission for the redevelopment of an old retail unit on the outskirts of Truro, with the intention of renting it to a major electrical retailer.
In order to do this we had to prove that it was a suitable site to be used for retail purposes, which we did by evaluating what retail units were in Truro at the time and whether the application site fitted in with the local Council policy. We were granted planning approval by the Council.
After obtaining planning permission, we were instructed to discharge the Council's planning conditions, which involved our landscape architects preparing a detailed hard and soft landscaping scheme for the site.
