Planning Approval for Single Dwelling in Carbis Bay ~ October

On 8 October Cornwall Council granted planning permission for a contemporary "reverse living" detached dwelling with integral garage, designed by Laurence Associates, on land situated on the western end of the Carrack Gladden complex, Carbis Bay.

A resubmission of a previous grant of planning permission, the sloping nature and context of the site were key considerations in the innovative redesign; minimising the impact on the landscape whilst taking full advantage of the views of St Ives Bay.   

The use of recessive materials and a strong design element results in a high quality, individual dwelling that sits comfortably within the existing contours of the site and relates well to the surrounding developments.
